Eileen T. May

Eileen T. May, recently of Crawford County Care Center, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was 88.

Eileen was born in Hornell, NY, on February 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Glenn and Beulah (Palmer) Towner.

Eileen and her husband, Walter, lived on Brookhouser Hill in Saegertown for the last 58 years.

Eileen retired from Spencer Hospital where she practiced her RN degree. She was a member of the Exeter Chapter of the DAR, and was a member of the Almond Historical Society and the Walter Palmer Society. She served on the church council at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church in Saegertown. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling with her family.

In addition to her husband Walter of 67 years, Eileen is survived by two daughters Margaret Wehr of Bealeton, VA, Catherine Baggan and her husband Bob of Stafford, VA, a son Steven May of Woodstock, GA, seven grandchildren: Christopher, Peter, Libbie, Michael, Lindsey, Hannah, Jordan and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Glenn and Beulah Towner, Eileen was preceded in death by a four year old son John and a brother Norman Towner.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 2-5 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home 330 Broad Street, Saegertown.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave, Saegertown, with Rev. Mark. Fischer, pastor, officiating.

Eileen will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Eileen’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
