Elaine M. Barnes

Elaine M. Barnes, 79, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Crawford County Care Center, with her family by her side.

Elaine was born in Meadville, on July 23, 1944, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred (Boyle) Miller.

On April 1, 1967, Elaine married Ronald R. Barnes; he survives.

She was an active member of St. Paul's Reformed Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years; she made a lasting impact on her students.

Elaine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved being a homemaker and raising her family. Her greatest joy in life came from pleasing them; cooking for her family and taking care of them was her passion. She loved them deeply; she will be sadly missed.

In addition to her husband Ronald, of 57 years, Elaine is survived by two daughters Cindy Henry (Michael), Rhonda Kineston (Jeff) both of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren Allison Kineston, Samuel Kineston (Madissen), Megan Kineston (Jeremy), Benjamin Henry, Madeline Henry; three sisters Polly Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA, Marlyn Choffel of Sharon, Carol Grove of Saegertown; a sister in law Sue Miller of Oneonta, NY; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by a sister Joan Thompson; and a brother Ralph Miller.

Family and friends are invited to call from 12-2 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Paul's Reformed Church, 1070 Park Ave., where Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Brian Hasenkopf, Pastor, officiating.

Elaine will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Elaine' memory to St. Paul's Reformed Church, 1070 Park Ave., or Gentiva Hospice, 1119 Park Ave., both in Meadville, PA 16335.
