Elizabeth Anna Johnson

Elizabeth Anna Johnson, 90, of 31 N. Park Ave., formerly of Hillside Home and of Arch St., Meadville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Elizabeth was born in Meadville, on February 20, 1925, a daughter of the late Fred R. and Ruth A. (Dodge) Byham.

On April 12, 1952 Elizabeth married David Ray Johnson, Sr.; he preceded her in death on August 21, 2004.

She had been an active member of First Assembly of God, Meadville.

Over the years Elizabeth had been employed by various local Day Care Centers and Insurance Agencies. She also did secretarial and home health care work. She enjoyed reading and playing the organ.

Elizabeth is survived by three children David Ray Johnson, Jr., Sarah Lou Walsh both of Meadville, Timothy W. Johnson of Penfiled, NY, six grandchildren Lisa Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Dawn Johnson, Amy Hurd and her husband John, Alexis Walsh and her fiance' Jereld Jackson, Tommy Walsh, five great grandchildren, Brandon Chase Jackson, Kala Ann Hurd, Zachariah Hurd, Joshua Hurd, Isaiah Hurd, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, David, of 52 years, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Ann Johnson, two brothers Fred and Joseph Byham.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11-1 on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church, 719 Washington St., Meadville, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Philip Torre, Pastor, officiating.

Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her husband, David, in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
