Elizabeth 'Betty' F.Yurisic

Elizabeth 'Betty' F. Yurisic, 88, of 17888 Cussewago Rd., Meadville, passed away at home on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013.Betty was born in Meadville, on January 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Luco and Virginia (O'Valetta) Funciello.On April 12, 1947 Betty married Charles C. Yurisic; he preceded her in death on April 28, 1981.She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.With over 40 years of service, Betty retired in 1985 from the former Avtex Fibers where she had been employed in the Coning Department. She attended Meadville schools. Betty enjoyed being a homemaker, making crafts, going to garage sales and baking. For many years she entered her prized cookies and fudge in the Crawford County Fair. Her homemade dishes and baked goods made every holiday extra special.Betty is survived by three children Virginia 'Ginny' Yurisic of Meadville, with whom she lived, Nancy M. Moeller and her husband Rainer of Montevallo, AL, Mark Yurisic and his wife Karen of Meadville, four grandchildren Debra L. Moeller of Duncansville, Chad W. Yurisic and his wife Sarah of Saegertown, Carrie R. Williams and her husband John of Linesville, Cory A. Yurisic of Knoxville, TN, seven great grandchildren Christian, Dalton and Bryant of Duncansville, Megan and Rachel Yurisic of Saegertown, Kayley and Colton Williams of Linesville, two sisters Lucy Dividio, Mary Hovenac both of Meadville, a brother Frank J. Funciello of Erie, several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her husband Charles of 34 years, Betty was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Fera, an infant sister Luci Funciello, two brothers Louis Funciello and Dominick Funciello.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a scripture service will be conducted at 3:30 PM.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3 at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Marc Solomon, Pastor, officiating.Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., or Yolanda G.
