Mr. Emerson Carl Stallard, 82, of 708 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, passed away Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Carl was born in Meadville, on July 26, 1927, a son of the late Emerson and Anna (VanVolkenburg) Stallard.
Carl retired from GTI Corporation, formerly known as Saegertown Components. Prior to his service to his country, he had been employed by the former Erie Railroad. A 1948 graduate of Saegertown High School, Carl was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict form January 2, 1951 until his honorable discharge on December 15, 1952. He had been a member of the Meadville Eagles Club where he participated in the bowling league. Carl also enjoyed fishing.
Carl is survived by three brothers Bernard N. Stallard and his wife Nancy of Seneca, James M. Stallard of San Antonio, TX, Ronald E. Stallard and his wife Joan of Saegertown, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Emerson Stallard and Anna Stallard Payne, Carl was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth A. Stallard and Edwin Merle 'Tony' Stallard.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, PA 16433 where Funeral Services will be held at11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010, with Rev. Dwight J. Stallard, Cousin, officiating.
Interment will take place in Saegertown Cemetery, Saegertown.
