Eric Paul Newhard

Eric Paul Newhard, 50, of 18709 Hutchinson Rd., Saegertown, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at home.

Eric was born in Meadville, on November 6, 1968, a son of Sandra (Kiser) and the late David P. Newhard, Sr.

For more than twenty years Eric was employed as a steel worker for Meadville Forging Co. He was a 1987 graduate of Saegertown High School. An avid outdoors man, Eric loved hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He had a green thumb and enjoyed watching his plants grow. When he wasn't outside, he enjoyed playing his Xbox. Eric was a supporter of the NRA and also enjoyed shooting his guns. He will be missed.

Eric is survived by his daughter Tiffany L. Newhard and her companion Michael Hurley of Saegertown, his son David P. Newhard II, and his husband Mark Jones of Meadville, a grandson Isaiah Hurley, his mother Sandra Newhard, his sister Tamera L. Newhard both of Meadville, his fiance Tammy McGurk, Tammy's son Kris McGurk and his fiance Courtney, Tammy's grandson Kannan McGurk all of Saegertown, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, David P. Newhard, Sr., Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert Newhard and Olive Newhard Welsh, his maternal grandparents George and Janet Kiser.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-6 PM on Monday, April 15, 2019 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Temple Jarrell, of New Beginnings Church of God, officiating.
