Etta Y. Cooper

Etta Y. Cooper, 84, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Etta was born in McVeytown, on February 23, 1934, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Harriet (Marfin Smith) Conner.

Etta married Robert Ray Cooper on July 3, 1951, he preceded her in death on August 1, 1976.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Etta had worked as a Nurses Aid for the former Oil City Hospital and the Presbyterian Home of Oil City. Her hobbies included crocheting, painting and adult coloring. She will be remembered as being a hard worker her entire life and continually caring for her family with much love. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Etta is survived by three daughters Penny Grove and her husband Charlie of Franklin, Kelly Jacoby and her Fiance' Brad Metzenbacher of Saegertown, Mary Yashinski and her husband Larry of Seneca, grandchildren, great grandchildren, two sisters Kay Brown and her husband Neil of Meadville and Beth Eardman and her husband Bill of Dallas, TX.

In addition to her parents and husband Robert of 25 years, Etta was preceded in death by a daughter Christine Forbes.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 11-1 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM.
