Florence M. Lowe

Florence M. (Best) Lowe, 85, of 731 Euclid Ave., PO Box 35, Saegertown, passed Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Florence was born at home in Saegertown on October 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Warren E. and Loie (Lilly) Best.

Florence was formerly married to Joseph A. Lowe, Sr.; he preceded her in death.

For many years Florence was employed by G.T.I. and later Spectrum Control, both of Saegertown. In 1950 she graduated from Saegertown High School. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and unicorns. In her younger years she loved to bowl, roller skate and attend country western dances.

Florence is survived by three children Donald L. Best and his wife Cindy, Tammy J. Hall and her fiancee David Peters both of Saegertown, Joseph A. Lowe, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Meadville, 13 grandchildren Tracy Messmer and her husband Garrick of Erie, Michelle Bowen and her husband Douglas of Saegertown, Shannon Metz and her husband Ron of Townville, Nicole Laperriere and her husband Mark, Corey Best, Amanda L. Hall all of Saegertown, Jessica Blair and her husband Wayne of Antwerp, NY, Arorah D. Lowe of Meadville, Stephanie Whitney of TX, Megan Kriner and her husband Trevor both of Meadville, BreAnn Peters of Porterville, CA, Brandon and Brian Peters both of Saegertown, 20 great grandchildren, a sister Laura Ladner, a sister-in-law Frances Best both of Meadville, a step brother Earl David Shaw of North Carolina, one niece, one nephew and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Best, her granddaughter Shauna Brawley, two step brothers Thomas Shaw, John Shaw, her step father Earl Shaw and a brother-in-law Alan Ladner.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 10-11 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD STREET, SAEGERTOWN where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Darrell Greenawalt, pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Florence will be laid to rest in Brookhouser Cemetery, Saegertown.
