Frank E. Stewart

Frank E. Stewart, 88, of 16921 Rogers Ferry Rd,. Meadville, passed away Friday, April 26th, 2013 at home.

Frank was born in Clarion, on February 24, 1925, a son of the late Ira and Martha (Craig) Stewart.

On July 22, 1947 Frank married Helen L. Boor; she survives.

In 1973 Frank retired from the former Parks Laundry and Dry Cleaning which he and his wife, Helen, had owned for several years. He had previously been employed by Stewart Excavating, Meadville Forging and by the former Meadville Breakshoe. A WW II veteran, Frank entered the US Army on September 7, 1945 and served his country until his honorable discharge on December 7, 1946. Frank enjoyed owning and tending to his several properties and apartments in the Meadville area. He also enjoyed eating out with his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Helen, of 65 years, who took great care of him through his lengthy illness, Frank is survived by a son Arthur E. Stewart and his wife Darlene of Meadville, three grandchildren Susan Labeka and her husband Brett, Sheri Stewart and her companion Guido Trucco both of Meadville, Shelley Caravella and her companion Craig Caravella of Conneaut Lake, six great grandchildren Jady Folmar II, Shawn Folmar II, Alexis Labeka, Ashley Labeka, Chase Caravella, Chelsea Caravella, a sister Laura Mook of California, a brother Chuck Stewart of Andover, OH, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by three brothers Gerald Stewart, Eugene Stewart, Amos Stewart, two sisters Minnie Fink and Dorothy Gregory.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.

Interment with Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will take place in Denny Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.
