Gary Douglas Williams

Gary Douglas Williams, 68, of 335 S. Main Street PO Box 79 Townville, passed away Tuesday, April 4th, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Gary was born in Meadville, on October 18, 1948, a son of the late Clyde W. and Frances (Davern) Williams.

On September 17, 1992 Gary married Deloris Uplinger; she survives.

He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God Meadville.

A graduate of Meadville Area High School, Gary furthered his education by attending the former Alliance College and graduating from Villa Maria College in 1987. Gary started his working career by being employed by the former Mason Department Store and over the years had been employed by the former American Viscose, Sherwin Williams Paint and Wall paper, Meadville Area Ambulance, Wesbury United Methodist Community, Cordia Commons Nursing Home of Sharon and for Scott Deissler at the J A Deissler and Son. Following his honorable discharge on August 28, 1972 Gary served his country for the next six years in the US Army Reserves. He was an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

In addition to his wife Deloris of 24 years Gary is survived by his daughter Cindy Sinclair and her husband Andrew of MO, three grandchildren Abby, Nora and Amy, three step-children Bruce, Donna both of Townville, Timothy and his wife Dana of Dexter, MI, many cousins especially Peg Matrogran who was close to him his entire life, nieces, nephews including Shawn Johnson.

In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by a son Tracy Richard Williams, a brother David Johnson, his first wife Marlene Weaver and his trust chocolate rescue Lab Mack.

At the family's request there will be no visitation and private funeral services will be held.
