Gary W. Macblain

Gary W. MacBlain, 66, of Conneautville, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.

Gary was born in Meadville, on September 8, 1954, a son of the late Harold and Grace (Farkus) MacBlain.

On June 21, 1991 Gary married Catherine A. Bartone; she survives.

A 1973 graduate of Meadville High School, Gary also attended night classes through Penn State University. For 32 years he owned and operated Mac's Car Cleaning, until he sold the business in 2009. He then became employed by PTR Tool and Die, retiring in 2017. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Gary enjoyed hunting and tending to his large vegetable garden each year. What he enjoyed most in life was time spent with family. He was especially fond of family picnics including the the 4th of July celebrations with fireworks. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Catherine, of 29 years, Gary is survived by four children Tammy Tatters (Joe), Jamie Churchfield (Bob), Justin Bartone, Brian Bartone (Lori); seven grandchildren Kaden, Bryce, and Malia Tatters, Nick and Nate Bartone, Emma and Sophie Churchfield; a sister Diane Smith (Lyle); two brothers Joe MacBlain, Sonny MacBlain (Joyce); and a sister in law Debbie Wall.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a brother Larry MacBlain.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life cook out at Gary's home on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 2 PM.

The family would like thank the staff of Hospice of Crawford County, the staff of Barco Oncology and Dr. Lamba for the wonderful care they provided.
