Geraldine 'Jerry' Shryock

Geraldine 'Jerry' Shryock, 80, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, passed away Thursday, March 25th, 2010 at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville.
Jerry was born in Saegertown on January 31, 1930, a daughter of the late Louis and Rosa (Black) Taylor.
On December 1, 1993 Jerry retired as the Executive Director of the Meadville Western Crawford County Chapter of the American Red Cross where she had been employed for many years. She was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ and a former member of Christ Church Episcopal, both of Meadville. Jerry served as a former board member of the Center for Family Services of Crawford County. She enjoyed RV traveling with her sister, Thelma, taking cruises, spending winters in Florida, playing Bridge and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by a daughter Judy Ross and her husband Barry of Cambridge, OH, two sons John Shryock of Canfield, OH, Steven Shryock of Meadville, five grandchildren Trevor Ross and his wife Meredith, Dustin Ross, Andrew Shryock, Graham Shryock, Devin Shryock, a sister Thelma Wolfe of Meadville, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Young.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6-8 and Saturday from 11-1 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2010 with Rev. Martin B. Hardy, Pastor of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, officiating.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
