Hazel A. Dahl

Hazel A. Dahl, 100, of Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Crawford County Care Center.

Hazel was born at home in Hayfield Twp., on August 28, 1920, a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Helen (Mosier) Dahl, the second of six children.

She was a life long member of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, Saegertown.

Hazel retired from Northwestern Rural Electric after 50 years of service. She was a graduate of both Saegertown High School and the former Meadville Commercial College. Following her retirement she did much traveling, including four cruises, two trips to the Hawaiian Islands, a to Alaska, a trip up the Mississippi River on the Mississippi Queen, a trip to England, another to Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. On her final trip, she traveled to Italy.

Hazel is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother James Dahl, four sisters Harriet Twiford, Dorothy Slingluff, Burdella Logue and Elsie Shoop.

Due to Covid, a Memorial Service will be announced and held in the future at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave, Saegertown, with Rev. Mark Fischer officiating.

Hazel will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery Hayfield Twp.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Crawford County Care Center for the outstanding care and love that was provided to Hazel.
