Helene B. Bengivenga

Helene B. Bengivenga, 97, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, formerly of 558 Ellicott Court, Meadville, passed away Monday, January 21st, 2013 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Helene was born in Warren, Ohio on May 20, 1915, a daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Hull) Richards.
On September 28, 1952 Helene married Ciro 'Jerry' Bengivenga; he preceded her in death on January 27, 2003. She had previously been married to Thomas Hassett who also preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.
After 28 years of service, Helene retired in 1977 as a Lab Technician in the Engineering Department of the former Talon, Inc.
Helene is survived by three daughters Nancy Gunn and her husband Kenneth, Sandra Valella, Valerie Hassett all of Meadville, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, Helene was preceded in death by a son Richard Hassett, a sister Patricia Byrant, four brothers Charles, Francis, William and Robert Richards.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 10-12 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM with Fr. Marc Solomon, Pastor of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Helene Bengivenga to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, One Childrens Hospital Drive, Central Plant, Floor 3, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224-1342.
