Howard C. Montgomery, 94, of 10250 Circle East, Meadville, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at home.
Howard was born on February 12, 1920, a son of the late Homer and Elsie (VanHorn) Montgomery.
On September 27, 1986, Howard married Joan Weir, she survives.
He attended the Reash Community Church.
Howard retired in 1987 from the C G Green Corporation in Warren. Previously, he had been employed by the American Saint - Gobain Company in Arnold. He was a member of Senior Citizens in Townville. Howard enjoyed camping and fishing.
In addition to his wife Joan, Howard is survived by a daughter Carole Powell of Williamsburg, IN, three grandchildren Laurie Railsback and her husband Kelly, David Shawn Powell, and Dawn Lambert and her husband Scott, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Riordan.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 16 from 5-7 and on Saturday, May 17 from 11 - 1 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Randy Keeling, Senior Pastor of Reash Community Church, officiating.
Howard will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reash Community Church, 3607 Reash Church Road Cochranton, PA 16314 or a charity of the donors choice .
