I. Steve Musiek

I. Steve Musiek passed away on August 17, 2013. Born on February 13, 1931 near Brownsville, Pennsylvania Steve was the eldest child of the late Steve F. and Nellie A. Musiek. On December 27 1956 Steve married Mary Lee, daughter of Frances and the late George Walford.

Steve graduated from Union City Area High School in 1948. He captained his high school football team and was named to the Erie County All-Star Team. As a middleweight boxer he competed in the Golden Gloves and continued football and boxing after he entered the service. He was Armored Infantry Battalion middleweight champion.

A decorated veteran of the Korean War, Steve served 30 years in the military and reserves and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Steve graduated from Alliance College and Edinboro University where he obtained a masters degree in guidance counseling. A devoted and motivating educator, he spent his entire 35 year career at Cambridge Springs High School

He coached football for 13 years, starting at the junior high level and leading that team to an undefeated season. He went on to coach the high school team where he achieved one of the best season records in the schools history.
