Ida Mae Acker, 88, of 15849 Wagner Drive, Meadville, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at Meadville Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Ida Mae was born at home in Hadley, on May 14, 1930, a daughter of the late Chester David and Hazel (Condit) Thompson.

On April 1, 1967 Ida Mae married Arnold Acker; he preceded her in death on November 2, 2006. She had previously married Victor Evald Gustafson, Jr. on April 16, 1955; he predeceased her on July 8, 1965.

Ida Mae was an active member of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church and a founding member of W.O.R.M.S. She was involved in many church activities including the Woman's Group.

After 16 years of service, Ida Mae retired from Patron Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Prior to that she had been employed by Weber Harris Ford, Sylvania of Warren and Chicago Bridge and Iron of Greenville. A 1948 graduate of Cochranton High School, she was also a graduate of Erie Commercial College. Ida Mae was a beloved member of her "Lunch Bunch". She loved sewing, baking and the holidays, particularly because of her grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her. She will be sadly missed.

Ida Mae is survived by six children Larry Gustafson (Emily) of Clymer, NY, Scott Gustafson (Karen) of Export, Karla Gustafson, Kathy Gustafson both of Monroeville, Dodie Agnew of Conneautville, Ralph Acker (Judy) of Meadville; 11 grandchildren Mike Acker (Pam), Matt Acker (April), Laura Ayers (Brian), Anne Agnew, Rebekah Nottingham (Jason), Grace Agnew, Ruth Caldwell (Matt), Melissa Gustafson, David Gustafson, Daniel Gustafson, Erica Gustafson; 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including her godson Stephen Cehovin.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Ida Mae was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Russell, a brother Warren Thompson and a son in law Dennis Agnew.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-6 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN. Friends are also invited to call on Saturday from 10-11 at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Mark Fischer, Pastor, officiating.

Ida Mae will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.
