Jack Alton Nageotte, 84, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center.
 
Jack was born at home in Saegertown, on August 25, 1937, a son of the late Harold and Dora (Knepp) Nageotte.
 
On December 29, 1961, Jack married the love of his life, Linda Clark; she  preceded him in death on March 15, 2001.
 
After 32 years of service Jack retired as a Quality Inspector from PPG Industries.  He had previously been employed as a welder by Sunbeam.  He was a graduate of Saegertown High School.  Jack was a member of American Legion Post #205, Venango VFW Post #169, West Mead 2 and Taylor Hose.  He loved his pets and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Notre Dame. Jack played softball as a pitcher in Meadville for 35 years, mostly for PPG. Jack and Linda enjoyed landscaping and entertaining friends and family at their pool. Jack will be remembered as a friend to many and will be sadly missed.
 
Jack is survived by two sons Jack M. Nageotte (significant other Melanie Mushrush) of Meadville, Tim Nageotte (Nicci) of Hales Corners, WI; a grandson Zachary Nageotte of Meadville; sister in law Susan Rappa (James) of Conneaut Lake; his extended family including his cousin Janet Dingle (Donald) of Woodcock with whom he was very close.

A Celebration of Jack's life will be held at a future date.

The family wants to thank the kind professionals at Meadville Medical Center for the care provided during this trying time.
