James "Jim" A. Reagle, 83, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Saegertown at the home of his daughter and son in law.
James was born in Polk, on February 14, 1941, a son of the late Arthur L. and Ellen I. (Winters) Reagle.
On April 11, 1963, Jim married Donna L. Smith; she survives.
From 1963-1988, Jim was employed by Crawford Central School District as the Building and Grounds Manager of First District Elementary School. He was previously employed by Griffin Motors doing car detailing. When he wasn't working, Jim stayed busy working with his hands whether restoring old cars, or tinkering with his lawn mower, he could fix anything. Jim and his wife Donna enjoyed bowling in various leagues and tournaments which allowed them to travel together. They also enjoyed their daily rides throughout the county, taking in the beautiful landscapes. He enjoyed hunting and playing cards with family and friends, especially Texas Hold 'em. Jim will be remembered for his strong will, determination, and the fact that he never complained, regardless of the situation. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandsons. He will be sadly missed.
In addition to his wife, Donna, of 60 years, Jim is survived by a daughter Brenda Kanline (Richard) of Saegertown; three grandchildren Trey Reagle, Ricky Kanline, Jaden Reagle; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son Donald Reagle; two brothers Donald Reagle (Peg) and David Reagle (Deloris).
Private services will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
Jim will be laid to rest in Rynd Farm Cemetery, Oil City.
