James "Jim" R. Darling

Jim Darling, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Richard and Margaret Darling.

Jim graduated from Townville High School in 1958 before attending Edinboro College. He later served honorably in the United States Air Force, completed his Master’s Degree and worked as an Adjunct Professional with Lone Star College in Humble, TX. In 1977, Jim relocated to Houston, Texas, where he worked as a late-night radio host for the Christian radio station KSBJ. Through his work, he touched and ministered to countless lives over the years. Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing and hunting with his brothers, Perry, Tom, and Bill Darling. He will be fondly remembered for his calm demeanor and encouraging personality, which left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by former spouse, Lisa Darling, 11 children, 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his spouse, Mary Darling; his brother, Tom Darling; and his son, Jason Darling.

At the family's request, no formal funeral service will be held.
