James "Jim" Swasta

James "Jim" Swasta, 68, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, formerly of 973 1/2 Liberty St., Meadville, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Jim was born in Meadville, on July 31, 1948, a son of the late Jospeh Francis and Mollie Theresa (Stellato) Swasta.

Over the years Jim had been employed by the former Weldon's of Meadville, the former Pizza Joes, at Meadville Medical Center in the Dietary Department and he had been self employed doing home cleaning. A Vietnam veteran of the US Navy, Jim entered active duty on January 5, 1968 and served his country until his honorable discharge on December 10, 1969.

Jim is survived by a son, Joseph Michael Swasta, a grandson Shawn Swasta, a sister Judith Marie Cornell of Meadville and a twin brother John Joseph Swasta of Meadville.

Jim was preceded in death by a close friend Eugene Ward Drake.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.
