Janet E. Henry

Janet E. Henry, 78, of Saegertown, passed away, peacefully, at home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, following a 13 month battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Janet was born in Meadville, on July 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Ralph and Martha (McKinley) Vaughn.

On October 29, 1962, Janet married David L. Henry; he preceded her in death on February 4, 2007.

Janet was employed by Penncrest School District for 30 years. She enjoyed visiting casinos, watching WWE Raw and SmackDown, spending time with her friends at Saegertown American Legion and prior to becoming ill, she also enjoyed going to VFW Post #169. She loved spending time with her dog, Maggie.

Janet is survived by three sons Randy Henry, Robert Henry (Dawn), Patrick Henry, all of Saegertown; six grandchildren Kellie Eakin (Eric), Kyle Henry (fiance Chelsey Coulter), Kurtis Henry, Miranda Henry, Jessica Schaefer, Katie Schaefer; five great grandchildren; and a brother Gerald Vaughn of Cochranton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David, of 44 years.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 1-3 PM and 5-6:30 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will follow at 6:30 PM, with Pastor Jeff Little of Saegertown United Methodist Church officiating.

Janet will be laid to rest next to her husband, David, in Saegertown Cemetery.
