Janice Marie Miller

Janice Marie Miller, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Cincinnati, OH, on Saturday, January 16, with her devoted husband by her side.

Janice was born in Meadville, PA on July 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Darrel Ebard Stallard and Tillie (Ososki) Stallard. 

Janice graduated from Meadville High School in the class of 1954 and worked for several years at Westinghouse, Shryock’s Department Store and Hughes Aircraft Company doing secretarial and office work. She married her high school sweetheart, Russell Albert Miller, Jr. in 1958, and they spent the first 10 years of their married life in California. In 1968, they relocated to Laurel, MD where they lived for 51 years. Janice was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Meadville, PA, Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Gardena, CA and Grace Baptist Church in Laurel, MD. She was a woman of unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and her life reflected her devotion to her Savior. She was known for her hospitality and grace. If you knew Janice, you knew she loved her family dearly and spoke of them often. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother. She was the heart of her family, and the light of her smile will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
 
Janice is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Russell; her four children, Cynthia Cuffman of Grand Rapids, MI, Raymond Miller (Lori) of Harrington, DE, Kenyon Miller (Elena) of Falls Church, VA, and Karen Koran (Joseph) of Cincinnati, OH; 12 grandchildren, Christopher (London), David (Jackie), Timothy (Danielle), and Jennifer (Christian) Cuffman, Andrew (Jessica), Michael (Rachel) and Megan Miller, Sophia and Benjamin Miller, Ethan and Colin Koran, and Julianne Deibert; 6 great-grandchildren, Maggie, Russell, Soren and Lovila Cuffman, and Emmanuelle and Fiere Cuffman; brothers Larry Stallard (Marian) and Ralph Stallard (Jeri), sister-in-law Sandy Stallard, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Ronald, David and infant Harry Stallard, and grandson Jonathan Deibert.
 
Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 pm on Friday, January 22, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, PA. CDC guidelines will be followed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 23 at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph Street, Meadville, with Rev. Tim Jordan officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed.

Janice will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
