Jean K. Magee Reichel Peters, 88, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, formerly of 522 David Alley, Saegertown, passed away Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at Crawford County Care Center.
Jean was born in Titusville, on December 25, 1924, a daughter of the late Elmer E. and Mabel K. (Coyle) Magee.
She was married to Kenneth E. Peters who preceded her in death. She was previously married to Arthur H. Reichel who also preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, a former member of the Altar Rosary Society and of the Church Choir.
Over the years Jean had been employed as a Registered Nurse by the former City Hospital, the former Spencer Hospital, the former Flickinger Home, the former Mead Home, as an office nurse for Dr. Lucia Pagniello, Dr. Lucy Kirchner and as an industrial nurse by the former Talon, Inc. A graduate of St. Josephs Academy High School, Titusville, she was also a 1946 graduate of the former Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. Jean was a former member of f the Hayfield Grange.
Jean is survived by four daughters Carolyn Meech of NC, Anita M. Koehler, Mary Jean Scott and her husband Steven, Judith Acker and her husband Michael all of Saegertown, two sons Paul A. Reichel and his wife Betty of Geneva, OH, Charles E. Reichel and his wife Terry of Homer City, 17 grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a sister Lois Manross and her husband Robert of Titusville, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a great grandson Cory Hawk, a sister Doris M. Magee, four brothers Lawrence E. Magee, Donald F. Magee, Paul R. Magee and Roger D. Magee.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, where a scripture service will be conducted at 8:15 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, Renner Ave., Saegertown, with Fr. David Poulson, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. James Cemetery, Crossingville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, Renner Ave., Saegertown, or Alzheimers Association-NW, 1128 State St., Suite 301, Erie, PA 16505.
