Jeanette Antoinette Rossi

Jeanette Antoinette Rossi, 88, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Embassy of Park Ave., Meadville.

Jeanette was born in Meadville, on August 28, 1932, a daughter of the late John and Lucy (Gori) Rossi.

She was an active member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and it's Altar Rosary Society.

Jeanette had been employed as a cook and waitress for several local restaurants including the former Pizza Parlor, Cozy Corner, Red Lantern and Texas Lunch. She also did child care for many families over the years. Jeanette was a member of the Italian Civic Club Auxiliary.

Jeanette is survived by three children Bruce Nichols (Carolyn), Rosie Nichols both of Meadville, Julie Chimiak (Charles Higgins) of Linesville; one grandson; two granddaughters; six great grandchildren; her companion of 45 years Bill Checots; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and a brother.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with Fr. Jeff Lucas, Pastor of St. Mary of Grace Church, officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of Grace Church, C/O Catholic Community of Meadville, 353 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335 or a charity of donor's choice.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of the Rehab Unit of Embassy of Park Ave. for the wonderful care they provided Jeanette and also for the kindness and consideration to her family.
