Jennie Styborski, 95, a longtime resident of Cambridge Springs, was called home to her Lord on May 31, 2015, at Rolling Fields personal care home, Conneautville, where she had lived since June, 2014.
She was born at home on Townhouse Road, near Kuhn’s Corners just outside of Saegertown on August 17, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Caroline Przondak.
She married Theodore (Ted) Styborski on May 16, 1942 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1984.
Jennie was a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Cambridge Springs. She was a manager for the Erie Times newspaper boys in Cambridge Springs and also worked at GTI in Saegertown. Nothing gave her greater joy though, than taking care of her family; cooking, cleaning and managing the home. She loved to dance to Polish music and also played the violin and harmonica. She was experienced at knitting and crocheting and made many scarves, afghans and dishcloths throughout the years. She had advanced knowledge on growing vegetables producing a magazine-worthy garden. She had a great love and compassion for animals, leaving behind her beloved cat, SuzyBell. She was a very loving, honest and trusting person that knew the value of hard work. She will be missed greatly.
Surviving Jennie are her four children, Ted Styborski and his wife, Judy of Conneaut Lake, Jean Styborski of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathy Kaczmarek of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Donna Reese and her husband, Sam of Cambridge Springs. Also, seven grandchildren: Ted Styborski III, Karen Styborski, Don Shearer, Julie Stoyer, Jennifer Guanzon, Aubrey Reese and Canedy Reese. Ten great grandchildren: Nick Styborski, Christian Styborski, Devon Shearer, Zachary Shearer, Caitlin Stoyer, Brigette Stoyer, Brittany Stoyer, Evan Guanzon, Noah Guanzon, and Maxwell Reese.
Jennie was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and her husband, by a brother, Walter (Butch) Przondak, and a sister, Wanda Cierakowski.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday at St. Anthony of Padua, 165 Beach Ave., Cambridge Springs, with Fr. David Poulson, Pastor, officiating.
Jennie will be laid to rest nest to her husband, Ted, in Cambridge Springs Upper Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Crawford County, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
