Jessie 'Millie' Mildred Humes

Jessie 'Millie' Mildred Humes, 87, of 15321 S. Norrisville Rd., Meadville, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at home.
Millie was born at home in Meadville, on January 9, 1924, a daughter of the late Ernest R. and Jessie (Gardner) Smith.
She was married to Walter Humes; he preceded her in death. She had previously been married to Maynard Seth 'Buck' Donahue; who also preceded her in death.
In her earlier years she was a member of Venango United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher.
After more than 20 years of service, Millie retired in the early 1990s from the former G.T.I. Corp. of Saegertown. She had attended schools in Venango and Cambridge Springs. Millie was a former member of the Meadville Elks Club.
Millie is survived by three children Roxanna M. Ramella and her husband Mike of Meadville with whom she resided, Vienna Deitsch of Tionesta, Brian Donahue of Erie, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister Doris Stiger of Erie, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Millie was preceded in death by a granddaughter Rowena Campbell, a sister Sylvia Aldridge, two brothers Raymond Smith and Ernest Smith.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 11-1 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Services at 1:00 PM with Dr. George H. Alquist, Jr., Pastor of Grace of Calvary Baptist Church, Erie, officiating.
Interment will take place in Venango Cemetery.
