John D. Basham, 56, of 1441 Chestnut St., Franklin, passed away Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 at UPMC Northwest, Seneca.
John was born in Meadville on August 14, 1956, a son of Ardythe (Harris) and the late Thomas Basham.
John attended Meadville Area Schools, received a GED, and a License for Heavy Equipment through Job Corps in Tennessee and he worked in the Franklin area. He enjoyed music, cooking, martial arts and shooting pool where he participated in, and won several tournaments.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ardythe, his brother, Tom, his sister, Michell, all of Meadville, his son, Matthew and his grand-daughter, Adrian, both of Pittsburgh and his niece Robin, from Chicago, Illinois and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas, his brother Anthony and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from 1-2 PM at St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Bishop Stanley Smith, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
