John 'Jocko' N. Stellato, Jr.

John 'Jocko' N. Stellato, Jr., 67, of 19643 Arthur St., Apt. 201C, Meadville, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Vincent Health System, Erie.

Jocko was born in Meadville, on February 18, 1947, a son of the late John N. and Helen (Stellato) Stellato, Sr.

On May 15, 1970 Jocko married Kathy Toner; she survives.

He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Following his 1965 graduation from Meadville High School, Jocko was employed by the former Meadow Brook Dairy, the former American Viscose and for the City of Meadville Streets Department. From 1976 until 2004 he was employed as a postal carrier for the US Postal Service. For the past ten years Jocko was employed as a van driver for special needs children by Hubbard Bus Company, working right up until the time of his recent illness. He was an active member of the ICC Club where he served as past Vice President and currently served on their Board. He actively volunteered for the spaghetti dinners benefiting the ARC of Crawford County and other events supporting Wounded Warriors. Additionally he was a member of VFW Post 2006, the Meadville Club and a former board member of Big Brothers and Sisters. Jocko loved following football, especially the Raiders. In his younger days he enjoyed golfing and bowling. Jocko loved all his family especially his daughter, her husband who was like a son to him, and his granddaughters. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Kathy of 44 years, Jocko is survived by a daughter Laurie Krasa and her husband Troy, two granddaughters Felicia and Tiffany Krasa, several nieces, nephews, sisters in law and brothers in law.

In addition to his parents Jocko was preceded in death by two sisters Marie Watson and Carol Stellato

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 3-6 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St. Meadville, where a Scripture Service will be conducted at (TIME).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 with Fr. Matthew Kujawinski, Pastor, officiating.

Jocko will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jockos memory to the family at 19643 Arthur St., Apt. 201C, Meadville, PA 16335.
