John R. Morris

John "Johnny" R. Morris, 56, of 149 1/2 Walnut St., Meadville, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on Thursday, December 14, 2017 while at home.

John was born in Meadville, on April 14, 1961, a son of Josephine (Tartaglione) Morris and the late John "Roy" Morris.

John met Tiffany (Fargo) Morris in 1987 and shared 24 years of marriage. His proudest accomplishments were his daughters, Casey and Bailey.

John was the "big guy" with the "big voice" and an even bigger heart. In the early 1990's he became self employed, starting Morris Hauling and Repair Service. He was also a frequent bartender at the Meadville Eagles Club #429. John loved having "social hour" in his garage with his friends who he considered his brothers. He also loved planting his large, meticulous gardens every year and sharing his harvest with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Tiffany, John is survived by his two beloved daughters Casey N. Morris, a student at Cleveland State University and Bailey A. Morris at home. John was a part of a large and loving family including his mother, Josephine Morris; his late sister Brenda Pero, her husband Angelo and their children Jamie Munson and Angela Annibale; sister Joni Tautin, her husband Rick and their children Michael Tautin, Andrea Wellmon and Ricky Tautin; his late brother James Morris, his wife Eleonora and their children Jason Morris and Danielle DuPont; sister Rhona Newell, her husband Joe and their children Doug Newell and Jennifer Newell. He is further survived by his wonderful father in law and mother in law, Al and Janice Fargo, a sister in law Lisa Fargo, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 3-7 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 19th, with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas, Pastor of Catholic Community of Meadville, officiating.

John will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery West Mead Twp.
