Joseph Charles Longo

Joseph Charles Longo, Sr., 73, of Meadville, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at Meadville Medical Center.

Joseph was born in Punxsutawney, on February 6, 1945, a son of the late Joseph Julian and Margaret (Fusco) Longo.

On December 30, 1978 Joseph married Diane L. Caldwell; she survives.

He was a member of Living Waters Church.

After 30 years of service, Joseph retired in 2003 as a truck driver from Teamsters Local Union #377 out of Youngstown, OH and #800 out of Western PA. Following his retirement he worked at the Meadville Airport and for Advantage Auto. He was a 1963 graduate of Punxsutawney High School. His hobbies included working in his garage and tinkering with cars. He enjoyed Italian cuisine, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Diane, of 40 years, Joseph is survived by three children Brenda Waid (Charles Hipple), Tracy Brenot (Dave Kuhn), Joseph Longo, Jr. all of Meadville, four grandchildren Travis Brenot, Michael Brenot, Brittany Waid, Zachary Waid, several great grandchildren, a sister Carole Schultz (Herman) of Punxsutawney, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Longo.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 10-11 AM at Living Waters Church, 12891 Highway 98, Meadville, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ray Martinez officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 404 Chestnut Street Meadville, PA 16335.
