Joseph "Joe" Pierret

Joseph "Joe" Pierret, 62, of 16978 Berkshire Dr., Meadville, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at home.

Joe was born in Natrona Heights, on March 15, 1954, a son of the late Thomas and Rose Helen (Krizman) Pierret.

On May 8, 1982 Joe married Mary Lou Fisher.

On April 1, 2015, after 40 years of service, Joe retired from Pittsburgh Glass Works (formerly known as PPG Industries) where he worked primarily in the Maintenance Department. He was a 1972 graduate of Kiski Area High School. Over the years Joe enjoyed vegetable gardening and hunting. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He delighted in attending all of the events of his children while they were growing up. Although working the swing shift his entire career, Joe made it his priority to attend all of his daughters school, sporting and extra curricular activities. In addition, he enjoyed family vacations. He will be sadly missed.

Joe is survived by two daughters Karen Renee McCurdy and her husband Shawn, Julie Christine Pierret both of Pittsburgh, two grandchildren Kenley and Avery McCurdy, his former wife, Mary Lou Pierret of Meadville, a brother William "Bill" C. Pierret and his wife Stephanie of Newton, NJ, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Pierret and a special uncle, Victor Zahradnik.

Services will be private.
