Joseph Pasquale Baiera

Joseph Pasquale Baiera, 77, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Meadville Medical Center.

Joe was born in Meadville, on August 4, 1943, a son of the late Charles J. and Louise (Martignetti) Baiera.

On December 30, 1961 he married Sandra L. Bentley; she survives.

Following his 1961 graduation of Meadville High School, Joe entered the US Army and served his country until his honorable discharge on June 22, 1964. He was employed by Millwright's Local Union #2235, Pittsburgh. Additionally he owned and managed Saegertown Mobile Home Park and Chuck-a-Lou RV Park and Campground. Joe was a member of Saegertown American Legion Post #205, VFW Post #2006 and the Meadville Elks BPO #219. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, watching old westerns and following football.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, of 58 years, Joe is survived by three children Joseph "J." Baiera of Meadville, Steven Baiera (Patience) of Cornelius, NC, Melanie Seelig (Jason) of Walworth, NY; six grandchildren Corey Baiera (Sarah), Marrianna Baiera, MiKayla Baiera, Rianna Seelig, Jadyn Seelig (Devonne), Svanna Seelig; a great grandson Tazio Giuseppe (King Joe) Baiera and a great granddaughter on the way; a brother Charles Baiera (Delores) of Punta Gorda, FL; a sister in law Barbara Baker (William) of Meadville; a brother in law Leonard Bentley (Susan) of Colorado Springs, CO; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by an infant son Jeffrey Joseph Baiera.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 7, 2020, from 11-12:30 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. CDC guidelines will be followed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 PM at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1985 Water Street, Meadville, with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas, Pastor, officiating. Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will follow.

Joseph will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
