Josephine Pietron

Josephine Pietron, age 92, formerly of Erie, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Snyder Nursing Home in Salem, Va. where she had resided the last nine years.
She was born March 23, 1918 in Meadville, Pa, the daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Battaglia) Simonetta.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Pietron and seven siblings, Joseph, George X., Dr. Russell J., Patrick L., and John Simonetta, Rose Dispenza and Mary Simonetta.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, John and his wife Kathleen Pietron of Roanoke, Va. and Carl and his wife Patty Pietron of Encinitas, Calif.; her sisters Francis Donahue and Mary Anthony of Meadville, Pa.; grandchildren, Tracey Perry, Karla Gravitt, Nicholas Pietron; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut Street, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 10 a.m.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
