Karen Sue Barickman

Karen Sue Barickman, age 48, of Blooming Valley died Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Marquette Hospice House following a valiant, but brief battle with cancer.

She was born December 2, 1970 in Meadville to the late Robert J. Barickman and Barbara Barickman.

Karen enjoyed spending time outdoors, crocheting and volunteering at Saegertown Elementary School. For the past 10 years. She also loved watching movies, football, and hockey. Most of all she loved spending time with her nephew and niece who were the light of her life.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Robert, Grandparents Leo & Annette Barickman, and Edward and Eleanor Marak. She was also preceded in death by her Aunt Linda Marak.

She was loved and will be greatly missed by her mother, Barbara, brother Michael (Mitch) Barickman and his wife Teresa, nephew Evin, and niece Claire, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and a special friend Pete.

The family is thankful for the wonderful love and care that Karen received from the doctors, nurses and staff at Yolanda G. Barco Cancer Center and Marquette Hospice House. The love and compassion extended to both Karen and her immediate family during this difficult time will never be forgotten.

Services and internment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
