Karl P. Hess

Karl P. Hess, 73, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at home. 

Karl was born in Meadville, on September 9, 1950, a son of the late Bruce Kyle and Joyce Irene (Lilly) Hess.

For many years Karl was employed doing home improvements. He also worked for Kress Real Estate for many years. A veteran, Karl served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed woodworking and crafted countless walking sticks. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, landscaping, home improvements and in his younger years hunting and trapping. His greatest passion was trains. A die hard enthusiast, he was a true railfan. He collected and mastered railway modeling, having created the most extensive designed-to-scale rail transport systems.

Karl had and maintained a great sense of humor. Even until his final days, he managed to play jokes on Barb. He truly was one of a kind and will be sadly missed. 

Karl is survived by a sister Sherry Lee Brown of Lakewood, OH; and his companion Barbara Dietz of Saegertown.

Per Karl's wishes, no services will be held.
