Kathleen "Carole" Debaise

Kathleen "Carole" DeBaise, 88, of 885 Martin St., Meadville, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

Carole was born in Galloway, WV, on June 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Reuben W. and Lillian (Sandy) Maxwell.

On November 20, 1948 Carole married Sylvester "Sonny" DeBaise at St. Mary's Church, Meadville; he survives.

She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Over the years Carole had been employed by JC Penny, the former American Viscose, the former Fisher Big Wheel and Tamarack Packaging, all of Meadville. She attended elementary school at Galloway, WV and high school at Philippi, WV. Her hobbies included bowling, golfing, dancing and reading. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Sonny of 69 years, Carole is survived by three daughters Tina Marie DeBaise of Cambridge Springs, Kathleen Cali of Encinitas, CA, Diane M. DeBaise of Norway, SC, a son John J. DeBaise of Pembroke Pines, FL, five grandchildren, Leslie Stabile and her husband Kyle, Tony Cali, Riley Marzka, Danielle DeBaise, Dustin DeBaise, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by two sisters Mary E. Gilmore, Anona Jean Marhoefer, four brothers Fred E., Frank E., Clyde, and Wilson Rueben Maxwell.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 4-7 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM with Rev. Sam Marchetta, Chaplain of Wesbury UMC, officiating.

Carole will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
