Kathryn M. English,

Kathryn M. English, 92, of 15912 Middle Rd., Meadville, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Kathryn was born in Greenville on December 23, 1918, a daughter of the late Lewis and Ellen Amelia (Lininger) McBride.
On March 1, 1946 Kathryn married Everett W. English; he preceded her in death on April 1, 1984.
A dedicated homemaker, Kathryn enjoyed taking care of her family. Prior to her marriage she was employed by Mercer County in the Board of Enlistment Office of the Court House where she met her husband-to-be. A graduate of Greenville High School, she also attended the former Thiel College. Kathryn was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and was of the Protestant faith. Her hobbies included sewing and cooking.
Kathryn is survived by six children James Edwin English and his wife Sheryl of Syracuse, NY, David L. English and his wife Judy of New Bern, NC, Mark A. English and his wife Catherine of Cooleemee, NC, Gary William English of New Market, AL, Darlene English of Southampton, Connie L. Schaffner and her husband William of Meadville, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband Everett, Kathryn was preceded in death by twin sons Leslie Richard English, Lyle Robert English, two sisters Evelyn and Sally.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, from 10-11 AM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joel DiAngi officiating.
