Kathy Ann Swartout

Kathy Ann Swartout, 58, of 16421 Horseshoe Dr., Saegertown, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Meadville Medical Center.

Kathy was born in Adrian, MI on April 19, 1955, a daughter of the late Howard Hosey and Wilma Jean (Williams) Evans.

She was married to Larry D. Swartout for close to twenty years.

She was of the Protestant faith.

For a period of nearly ten years Kathy was employed by Bethesda Childrens Home. While living in Mount Holly, NC, she was employed by American & Efird for over five years. She attended schools in Adrian, MI. Kathy delighted in being a stay at home mom while raising her family. A lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing, riding her bike on country trails and at Woodcock Dam. She also enjoyed watching 'Little House on the Prairie', especially with her granddaughters Sarah and Anna. What she loved most in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by two sons Shawn D. Swartout and his wife Darcy of Fort Mill, SC, Jason D. Swartout and his wife Carrie of Townville, six grandchildren Andrew, Austin, Alex, Meghan, Anna, Sarah, one great grandchild Jayce, five brothers James Evans of Adrian, MI, Dennis Evans of Calhoun, GA, Maurice Evans of Adrian, MI, Chuck Evans of Hickory, NC, Dale Evans of Adrian, MI, her special friend Jeff Kays of Saegertown, her former husband Larry D. Swartout of OH, many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, at 5:30 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2014, with Rev. Darrell Greenawalt, Pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.
