Kenneth "Rocky" Lloyd Rockafellow

Kenneth "Ken" "Rocky" Lloyd Rockafellow, 74, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, formerly of Market St., Meadville, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Ken was born in Meadville, on May 15, 1941, a son of the late Lloyd A. and Irene E. (Buttray) Rockafellow.

In 1967 Ken married Carol Yokes.

He was a member of First Christian Church, Meadville.

Ken had been employed by the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville. Prior to that he was employed at the former Shryock Furniture Store, Meadville and at Saegertown Components. He enjoyed working with and repairing electronics. He was a former member of the Italian Civic Club (ICC). In his younger years he enjoyed being a DJ for teen aged dances and high school events. His 1973 Harley was his pride and joy.

Ken is survived by his daughter Melissa Hansard and her husband Bill of Lake Charles, LA, three step children Kim Turner of Alabama, Stephen Peters, Kevin Peters, both of Louisiana, a grandson Joshua Hamilton, two granddaughters Beki Hansard, Brandi Hansard, a sister Julia Roth and her husband Frank of Meadville, a niece Cheryl Hudson, a nephew Steven Roth and his former wife, Carol, of Louisana.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his six month old infant daughter, DeEtta Mae, in 1967 and a granddaughter Brittni Hamilton.

Family and Friends are invited to call from 1:30-2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in the Comunity Room of the Crawford County Care Center, 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM with Roger Smith, Associate Pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.

Ken will be laid to rest next to his infant daughter in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ron Unice who cared so wonderfully for Ken the last 20 plus years and doing his utmost to keep Ken healthy and comfortable. To the nurses and staff of the Crawford County Care Center, words cannot thank you enough for 20 years of love, compassion and wonderful care you all gave Ken. You truly gave him the feeling of being in a loving home. You were our family all these years. Southern Care Hospice came on board the last couple weeks of Ken's life. We are so appreciative of the comfort you gave not only to Ken, but also to his only sibling, Julia. You are a very special group of loving and compassionate friends that provide love and help in times of need.
