Kenneth W. Kebort, 62, of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center following a short, but hard fought battle with cancer.
Ken was born during the heavy flooding of Meadville, on January 24, 1959, a son of the late Wallace "Butch" H. and Joyce L. (Carr) Kebort.
On April 4, 2004, Ken married Kimberly Krem; she survives.
In 2021 Ken retired from US Bronze. He had previously been employed by K & S Tool and Die. Ken was a 1977 graduate of Saegertown High School and the Crawford County Vo-Tech. He was a member and past president of Crawford County Shuffle Board League and had been a coach for Crawford County Youth Soccer Association as well as an assistant coach for Saegertown Boy's Soccer Team when it was first started. Ken looked forward to his yearly trips to Indiana for the Sprint Car Championships. Locally he raced stock car #77 and go carts for many years. He loved hunting, fishing and playing shuffle board, and he especially loved time spent with Camryn. He will be sadly missed.
In addition to his wife, Kim, Ken is survived by two sons Justin Kebort of Erie, Joshua Kebort (Samantha) of Cambridge Springs; two grandchildren Skyla Kebort, Kayden Kebort; two step children Sean Murray (Autumn) of Meadville, Aaron Murray (Terra) of Blooming Valley; two step grandchildren Hunter Blake, Camryn Murray; a sister Kimberly Higby of FL; a brother Brian Kebort (Andrea) of Hartstown; two aunts Linda McQueen, Pat Carr both of Meadville; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother in law Jeff Higby; uncles Deacon Harvey McQueen, Gary Carr, George "Buzz" Carr; his father in law Steve Krem; his mother in law Jean Krem Ward; and her husband Melvin Ward.
Both a Memorial Service and a Celebration of Life Service will be held in January.
The family would like to thank Dr. Williams, Dr. Pasricha, Dr. Karlovits and the entire staff of the Barco Oncology Institute as well as the nursing staff at Meadville Medical Center's ICU and TCU Units for the excellent care they provided.
