Laura Eva Ladner

Laura Eva (Best) Ladner, 83, of 557 Chestnut St., Apt. #38C, Meadville, formerly of S. Norrisville Road, Meadville, passed away Monday, May 14. 2018, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie.

Laura was born at home in Saegertown on March 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Warren E. and Loie E. (Lilly) Best.

She graduated from Saegertown High School in 1953, then worked for GATX in Saegertown and later Viscose/FMC/Avtex of Meadville.

Laura met Alan M. Ladner, fell in love, and they were married on September 14, 1975. They lived an adorable, beautiful love story until his passing on March 18, 2012. Throughout, she loved to sew, crochet, embroider, do crafts, cook and bake. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating.

Laura is survived by a sister in law Florence Best, brother in law Scott Ladner and his wife Joyce, nieces and nephews Tammy Hall and her fiance' David Peters, Joseph Lowe and wife Becky, Donald Best and wife Cindy, Jeffrey Best and wife Nilsa, Judy Galbo and husband Matthew, Jodi Stevens and husband Ken, Tim Ladner and wife Jean, several great nieces and nephews, and many great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Laura was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Best and sister Florence (Best) Lowe.

Private services will be held.
