Laura Lea Weaver, 68, passed away peacefully and with grace on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Laura was held in the arms of her beloved niece, Julie M. Slagle, as she made her journey to heaven to join her family there.

Laura Lea was a long-time resident of the Cambridge Springs and Erie areas. She had been in failing health for several years and had been living at Transitions Healthcare in Washington, Pennsylvania. She passed away at Washington Hospital in Washington, Pennsylvania.

Laura Lea was born to Herbert and Laura (Powell) Jump on December 10, 1946. She grew up as the eldest of four children. Laura Lea came from a long-line of women who were dedicated to loving and taking care of their families. Loving her family was the greatest success story of Laura Lea's life.

Her family would like to thank Laura Lea for the wonderful memories she gave and for loving us all to the end. Even as we read this, we are reminded of the deep and abiding love that Laura Lea had for her friends and family. While we miss her here on Earth, we rejoice that she is celebrating in heaven, surrounded by the love of her heavenly Father, family, and free from the burdens of this life. What a reunion it must be in heaven!

She was affiliated with the First Church of God in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania. Laura Lea was a 1964 graduate of the former Townville High School. Over the years, she had worked as a secretary in the Erie area and enjoyed being a homemaker. Laura Lea was an amazing cook and made the best fudge! Her home was always filled with the smell of delicious food, love, and laughter.

Laura Lea is survived by a brother, Daniel Jump and wife Sandy, of Cambridge Springs; a sister, Marlene Werner and her husband Quinn, of Saegertown. She loved being "Aunt YaYa" to, and will be greatly missed by Julie Slagle and her husband Shane, Matthew Werner, Rebecca Werner, and Amy Swonger, and several other nieces and a nephew. Laura Lea was loved by many great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Laura Lea was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Jump. She was looking forward to him meeting her at the gates of heaven with a big bear hug and a booming "Hello Sis".

A Memorial Service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Laura Lea will be laid to rest in Cambridge Springs Upper Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in care of Mizner Funeral Home to help cover the cost of the final service.
