Lesley L. Peters

Lesley L. Peters, 78, of 16816 Scenic Dr., Meadville, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at home.

Lesley was born in Canton, OH, on August 14, 1935, a son of the late Charles and Gladys Williams Peters.

On August 28, 1953, Lesley married Patricia Patterson; she survives.

He attended Meadville Alliance Church.

After 24 years of service, Lesley retired from the City of Meadville where he had been employed by the Water Department. He had previously been employed by the city government of Hermitage and Grove City. His hobbies included hunting, camping and gardening.

In addition to his wife Patricia of 60 years, Lesley is survived by two daughters Dawna Peters of Meadville, Bonnie Hall of Akron, CO, a son James Peters and his wife Mary of Syracuse, NY, eight grandchildren Kelly Wright, Stacy Hower, Michael Peters, Christopher Reynolds, Jennifer Reynolds, Elizabeth Boyce, Emily Starlin, Kevin Hall, eleven great grandchildren, three sisters Lorraine Reedy of Grove City, Verla Worthington of Florida, Lois Weaver of Girard, a brother Don Peters of Grove City, a half brother Charles Peters and his wife Betty of Clearfield, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lesley was preceded in death by a son John Peters, two granddaughters Melissa Hall, Jessica Hall, two brothers Bill Peters and Fred Peters.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 1-3 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Jeffrey Conley, Pastor of Meadville Alliance Church, officiating.

Interment will take place in Hedglin Cemetery, Irwin Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
