Lessie Mae Cathey

Lessie Mae Cathey, 60, of 1171 Chula Ct., Meadville, passed away Friday, July 27th, 2012 at Meadville Medical Center.
Lessie was born in Coldwater, MS on January 25, 1952, a daughter of the late Matt and Carrie B. (Hunt) Jones.
She was an active member of United Faith Fellowship Church, Meadville.
Over the years Lessie had done domestic work for other families and had previously been employed by the former Red Barn. She attended schools in Coldwater, MS. She enjoyed attending Bible Studies and singing, especially at church.
Lessie is survived by three children Andre Eric Cathey of Erie, Aaron Cathey of Meadville, Lafayette Cathey of Oil City, five grandchildren,four sisters Ernestine Jones, Mattie Mae Boyd, Lula Mae Jones, Mary Lee Jones all of Meadville, two brothers Lawrence Jones of Memphis, TN, Henry Jones of Pittsburgh, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Matt and Carrie B. Jones.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 10-11 at United Faith Fellowship Church, 561 State St., Meadville, where Homecoming Services will be held at 11:00 AM with Berta Newsome Jones, Pastor, officiating.
