Letha Brant, 98, of Saegertown, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Crawford County Care Center.
Letha was born in Althom, on February 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Milton and Hattie (Chambers) Dailey.
On October 24, 1941, Letha married Charles Brant; he preceded her in death on April 13, 2012.
She was a member of Pleasantview Alliance Church, Saegertown.
Letha was a 1941 graduate of Meadville High School. She enjoyed living along French Creek for many years. Time spent with family and friends was very special to her and she made it special for all those around her. She had the ability to turn even the smallest activity into a memorable event and would often be heard saying, "Let's have a party." She was a great cook and made the best applesauce and homemade bread. Her table settings were always beautiful and special. She loved playing the piano, especially church hymns and she played a game similar to " musical chairs" with the children. She was a wonderful story teller, recounting events from her childhood years into adulthood then contrasted them to today's times. Her vivid memories of life during WW II were passed on to her family with the hope that the young people of today would not only understand, but also never forget the sacrifices made by the greatest generation. She wanted her life to be remembered as a testimony of the saving grace of Jesus. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Letha is survived by a daughter Carole Foulk (Jerry) of Saegertown; five grandchildren David Kindervater, Beverly Taylor, Carol Lyn Kennedy, Heidi Boot, Jeremy Foulk; twelve great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and her husband Charles of 70 years, Letha was preceded in death by a daughter Darla Kindervater; a brother Edgar Dailey; and two sisters Leona Boyer and Margaret Dorman.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Venango Cemetery where Letha will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charles.
Arrangements are under the direction of STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN.
The family would like to thank the staff of Crawford County Care Center for the wonderful care they provided.
