Lloyd H. Green

Lloyd H. Green, 86, of 21178 Star Route, Meadville, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Marquette Hospice House.

Lloyd was born in Greenville, on January 25, 1928, a son of the late Charles E. and Leona M. (Hartts) Green.

He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville.

In 1984 Lloyd retired from the FAA where he worked as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for 26 years. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Lloyd joined the US Air Force on December 6, 1948 and served his country until his honorable discharge on September 5, 1952. He was a 1946 graduate of of Penn High School. Lloyd enjoyed the outdoors and held a deep love for his family.

In addition to his wife Barbara L. Green, Lloyd is survived by three children Janet M. Green, a son Larry L. Green and his wife Pamela, Kelly D. McClelland, two step children Dr. John Ziegler and his wife Sandy, Gretchan Costa and her husband Michael, two granddaughters Jessica R. McClelland, Amanda L. Drouin, four step grandchildren Nick Costa, Katya Costa, Heather Ziegler, Eric Ziegler and a great grandson Sean M. MacWhinnie.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.
