Lois A. Roth

Lois A. Roth, 88, of Conneautville, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Lois was born in Sharon, on December 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Gustav and Anna (Ungerman) Ulrich.

On June 7, 1958, Lois married Benjamin "Bob" Roth; he preceded her in death on May 16, 2011.

A graduate of Sharon High School, Lois was also a graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing, Cleveland, OH, where she earned her license as a Registered Nurse. Upon her graduation, she became employed at St. Luke's Hospital where she enjoyed working up until the time she began raising her family. She then became a full time homemaker, devoting her life to her family. Regardless of what activity her children were involved with, Lois fully supported them, often taking a leadership role in their activities. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. In 1975 Lois and Bob left Cleveland and moved to the Conneautville area where they enjoyed spending the rest of their lives. Whether in OH or PA, her home was always welcoming and open to family and friends. For 60 years she hosted the family's holiday activities and she loved doing it. She will be most remembered for her thoughtfulness and big smile. She will be sadly missed.

Lois is survived by four children Bill Roth (Linda) of Centerville, Linda "Windy" Wetsell (David) of Saegertown, Rob Roth of Conneautville, Barb Hasenkopf (Barry) of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren Tim Wetsell (fiance' Abby), Ben Wetsell, Abby Hasenkopf, Lilly Groshell (Eli), Jack Hasenkopf; four step grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; a brother Bill Ulrich of FL; and a sister in law Elaine Ulrich of Carlisle.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bob, of 52 years, Lois was preceded in death by brothers Ed Ulrich, Robert Ulrich (Carolyn); and a sister in law Betty Alice.

A Memorial Service will be held at a future date which will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois' memory to Hayfield Volunteer Fire Dept., 15417 State Hwy. 198, Meadville, PA 16335 or or a charity of the donor's choice.
