Lucy L. Rossi

Lucy L. (Ross) Rossi, 88, of 309 Columbia Ave., Meadville, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family.

Lucy was born in Grove City, on January 26, 1927, a daughter of the late James "Jim" and Julia (Delasaul) Ross.

On November 3, 1945 Lucy married Albert Rossi; he survives.

She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Lucy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. In her earlier years she was employed by the former J.C. Penny in Grove City as well as Meadville. She was a graduate of Grove City High School. Lucy loved being a homemaker and raising her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading cook books, making and decorating cakes, doing ceramics and she kept a beautiful home. Her family was very important to her and she had a generous spirit. She will be sadly missed.

In addition to her husband, Albert, of 69 years, Lucy is survived by four children Judge Michael Rossi and his wife Sandra, Judy A. Briggs and her husband Jeff, both of Meadville, Marilyn Moore and her companion Bob Wright of Saegertown, Shirley M. Rossi of Augusta, GA, eight grandchildren Nicholas Rossi, Charles Zimmerman and his wife Jennifer both of Pittsburgh, Dale Zimmerman, Mitchell Maziarz and his wife Patty, Kristine Cox and her husband Erik, Jennifer Maziarz, Tara Moore, Christie Kightlinger and her husband Tom, all of Meadville, eight great grandchildren Haley King, Braiden Zimmerman, Alyssa Maziarz, Mitchell Maziarz IV, Alexis Main, Emily Main, Christopher Cox, Amaera Moore, two sisters Carmella Kelly, Grace Sawczysyn both of Slippery Rock, two bothers Mike Ross and his wife Donna of Slippery Rock, Leo Ross and his wife Anilda of Puerto Rico, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Lucy was preceded in death by five brothers Alphonso, Camel, Tony, Vince, Louie, two sisters Mary and Min.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2:30-4:30 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.

Funeral Services will be announced in Tuesday's Meadville Tribune.

Private interment will be held in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp., where Lucy will be laid to rest.
