Lyle Ray Ball, 58, of 18412 Gospel Hill Rd., (also known as Ball Hollow) Saegertown, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016, at home.
Lyle was born in Meadville at the former City Hospital, on April 11, 1958, a son of the late James Arnold and Florence Mae (Porter) Ball.
Lyle had a 40 year long career with C & J Industries as a tool and die maker. He was a 1976 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. An outdoors man and all around sportsman, Lyle enjoyed riding four wheelers, hunting, trapping, fishing and canoeing. His creativity was evidenced in his interest in photography as well as his ability to make beautifully sounding wind chimes out of many different scrap materials. He also enjoyed reloading different types of gun shells, following the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR, especially Mark Martin. Lyle especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
Lyle is survived by three daughters Rita Mae Davis and her husband Chip of Saegertown, Kimberly Ann Duda and her husband Joe of Cambridge Springs, Ruth Anna Hoke and her husband Andrew of Venango. He was Papa Ball to his seven grandchildren Karmen and Tyler Davis, Joseph, Nathan and Carter Duda, Natalie and Lainey Hoke. He is also survived by a sister Laura Ellen Fails of Conneaut, OH, a brother James David Ball and his wife Linda of Conneaut Lake, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lyle was preceded in death by two brothers Clifford Arnold Ball and Vernon Leroy Ball.
